Terms

Terms of use, in plain language.

Last updated: 4 July 2026

These terms cover your use of BackTrack, the website at mybacktrack.app, and the app. By using BackTrack you agree to them. We have kept them short and readable.

The most important part: BackTrack is a tracking tool, not a medical device, a diagnosis, or medical advice. Always rely on a qualified clinician for diagnosis and treatment.

What BackTrack is (and is not)

BackTrack helps you record back pain and see patterns over time, and it produces a summary you can share with a clinician. It surfaces patterns to help a clinician assess you. It does not diagnose, treat, or give medical advice, and it is not a substitute for professional care. Its safety features, including any note on medication limits, are conservative general guidance, not personal medical advice. If you have a medical concern, or any warning sign such as numbness, weakness, or pain that wakes you at night, contact a doctor. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.

Who can use it

You must be at least 18 to hold an account. BackTrack is often used to track a child's or teenager's back pain: in that case the account must be created and managed by a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these terms on the child's behalf and is responsible for the account.

Your account

Keep your login details secure and don't share your account. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at hello@mybacktrack.app if you think it has been accessed without permission.

Subscriptions, billing and cancellation

  • BackTrack starts with a free trial. After the trial, a paid subscription is required to keep using paid features.
  • Plans are $5.99 per month or $60 per year, unless stated otherwise at sign-up. Prices may change, and we will give notice before a change affects you.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
  • You can cancel any time. Cancellation stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
  • Except where the law requires otherwise (for example, statutory cooling-off rights), payments already made are non-refundable.

Acceptable use

Use BackTrack for its intended purpose. Don't misuse it, try to break or overload it, access it in unlawful ways, or use it to harm others. We may suspend accounts that do.

Your data

Your logged information is yours. How we handle it is set out in our Privacy policy. You choose if and when to share a summary with a clinician.

Disclaimers and liability

BackTrack is provided "as is". We work hard to make it reliable and accurate, but we can't guarantee it is error-free or always available, and it cannot guarantee any health outcome. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions made in reliance on the app rather than on a qualified clinician. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Changes

We may update these terms as BackTrack grows. If a change is material, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Denmark, and disputes are subject to the Danish courts, unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence says otherwise.
